When you first open the bucket of Extreme Patch you might think, “Wow, that’s a lot of sand” and wonder what you’re supposed to do with it. How much aggregate you should use depends on what you’re using Extreme Patch for.
Before I go over the amount of sand you would want to use depending on your project, let’s quickly recap the purpose of aggregate in building materials. The more sand added to concrete, the stronger the material will be once hardened” cracks forming in the material will stop when they reach a particle. Aggregate works the same way when added to epoxy.
No matter the project, you will want to add some aggregate into the Extreme Patch. Use more (or all of the aggregate) if you are anchoring heavy machinery. If you are just patching on the floor, use less for a smoother, more aesthetically pleasing look.
